Kel-Tec has announced four new firearm offerings spanning pistols, rifles, and shotguns, continuing the company’s tradition of unconventional design and problem-solving engineering. The latest releases include the PR-3AT and PR-5.7 pistols, the SUB2000 CQB integrally suppressed folding carbine, and the KS7 Gen 2 12-gauge shotgun—each targeting a different role while emphasizing compactness, adaptability, and ease of use.

The PR-3AT is a compact concealed-carry pistol chambered in .380 ACP, built around Kel-Tec’s rotary-barrel, top-loading design. Rather than using a traditional detachable magazine, the PR-3AT feeds ammunition from a fixed internal system loaded via stripper clips. This approach allows the pistol to remain extremely lightweight while still offering a 13-round capacity in a pocket-sized footprint.
Kel-Tec positions the PR-3AT as a deep-concealment option for users seeking simplicity and minimal bulk, while retaining respectable capacity for its size. The design also mirrors the operating concept introduced with the company’s earlier PR-series pistols, adapted here for .380 ACP.

Also expanding the PR-series is the PR-5.7, a lightweight pistol chambered in 5.7×28mm. Like the PR-3AT, the PR-5.7 uses a rotary barrel and top-loading, magazine-less system, allowing for a 20-round capacity while maintaining a slim and lightweight profile.
The PR-5.7 is aimed at shooters interested in low recoil, flat trajectory, and high capacity in a compact handgun, and reflects Kel-Tec’s continued interest in alternative feeding systems and unconventional solutions to capacity and weight constraints.

The SUB2000 CQB builds on Kel-Tec’s well-known folding pistol-caliber carbine platform by adding an integrally suppressed barrel. Chambered in 9mm, the SUB2000 CQB retains the ability to fold in half for compact storage, even with an optic installed, thanks to a rotating barrel shroud that allows the firearm to fold without interference.
Designed to deliver extremely quiet performance when paired with subsonic ammunition, the SUB2000 CQB is positioned for defensive and specialized applications where compact storage and reduced sound signature are priorities. The suppressor and barrel are manufactured as a single unit, simplifying maintenance and ensuring consistent alignment.

Rounding out the announcements is the KS7 Gen 2, an updated version of Kel-Tec’s compact bullpup pump-action shotgun. Chambered for 3-inch 12-gauge shells, the KS7 Gen 2 offers a 6+1 capacity and an 18.5-inch barrel while maintaining an overall length of just over 26 inches.
The Gen 2 update adds a Picatinny-style rail integrated into the forend, allowing for direct mounting of accessories without aftermarket modifications. Despite its compact size, the KS7 Gen 2 is designed to deliver full-power shotgun performance in a lightweight, maneuverable package suitable for home defense and practical use.
Together, these four releases highlight Kel-Tec’s continued focus on unconventional engineering solutions across multiple firearm categories. From magazine-free pistols to folding suppressed carbines and compact bullpup shotguns, the new lineup emphasizes portability, adaptability, and distinct mechanical approaches.
Availability and configurations vary by model, with additional details and dealer availability expected to expand as the 2026 rollout continues.
