EOTech’s John Bailey walks Ryan Gresham through the EXPS3HD — an all-aluminum housing that does away with the protective hood entirely and makes room for a rotary dial with a true off position, auto-brightness that adapts on its own, shake awake, and programmable sleep modes. Then there’s the EFLX CE, the closed-emitter version of their handgun sight: two windows shielding the LED from debris and damage, a rear integrated iron sight, and the same smart power management.
But the feature JB didn’t bring up is the one that got Chris Cerino’s attention on the range. The EFLX CE runs three reticles — circle-dot, dot only, or circle only. Running nothing but the circle meant no stopping to confirm a dot, and Chris figured he could take a plate rack apart faster than he ever has. Then he went looking for a hole barely bigger than the bullet, with no dot at all.
