This segment puts three Black Hills Ammunition 9mm defensive loads to the test using ballistic gel and a basic clothing barrier. The goal: see how these rounds perform under realistic conditions, including how they penetrate through clothing and into gel.
Rounds tested:
• 100-grain solid copper Honey Badger
• 115-grain +P TAC-XP
• 124-grain +P jacketed hollow point
Testing examines wound channel, bullet expansion, and penetration depth in line with the FBI’s 12–18 inch standard. This isn’t about stats on a box — it’s about what happens when rounds hit something in the real world.
