What Are Your Guns Worth?

The question I get all the time is "What is my gun worth?"

Allow me to turn that around and ask you, "What are all your guns worth?" What would you pay ... or do ... to keep someone from taking them from you, or your children, or your grandchildren. In less than two weeks, you get a chance to step up and actually do something about the ongoing crusade to minimize, marginalize, and demonize gun ownership to the point where it will, really, be possible to take many, most, or all guns from Americans. You get to vote!

As we say in teaching and learning self defense, you don't get the fight you want. You just get the fight you

get. In this case, I wish this fight didn't force us to vote along party lines -- partly because the Republicans don't really deserve our loyalty -- but we have to be adults, and we must recognize the current reality. That reality is that a vote for any candidate in the Democrat party adds a seat which will move Charles Schumer and Nancy Pelosi closer to leadership positions. To put a fine point on it, any vote for any Democrat is a vote for Schumer and Pelosi.

All over the country Democrat candidates are calling for gun bans. Pelosi and Schumer are calling for gun bans. Or ammo bans. Or any other form of regulation they can burden us with.

As I write this, a few days before you read it, the polls are showing that the large lead the Democrats had in House races is shrinking, and may be gone. It looks as though the blue wave has crashed on the outer banks and may never reach the shore. But, that's only true if we show up.
