The Murderous Fast and Furious Program
As I watch the ongoing debacle with the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh, I realize it's time to share this story.
This is your trigger warning! What I'm about to say may frighten you. It certainly will anger you. It's meant to remind and awaken you to the fact that the gun-ban forces ruin people, ruin businesses and industries, and have created programs they openly admitted would result in the murder of hundreds of people, including law enforcement officers. The powers pushing for gun bans will, quite literally, kill you to advance their agenda. Here's the story. Know it. Share it.
Please note that what follows are my thoughts -- my beliefs -- about what happened with the murderous Fast and Furious program schemed up by the Obama Administration, Eric Holder, The Justice Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Some of this has been shared with me personally. In one case, I have not be authorized to release names. Having said that, I believe that this is accurate -- especially the motives of those who put into place one of the most coercive, corrupt, callous, destructive and power-mad government operations of the last half century. This story is a bit long. I hope you'll stick with it. If you do, this bit of history certainly will stick with you.
Much of what you read today about Fast and Furious is sanitized, whitewashed, and is deceptive to create a false history to hid the hideous actions of government operatives running amok. The truth is available, with some digging, and almost all that truth leads back to the work of online journalist Mike Vanderboegh.
Forget what you think you know about this story. If you haven't immersed yourself in it, much of what you "know" has come from the mainstream media, which either doesn't know the truth or has altered the story to advance an agenda.
Consider the time and what was going on. Barack Obama couldn't get any of his gun-control fantasies passed into law. Even the official White House website called for banning the most popular rifles in America, but Congress would have none of it. What to do? What to do?
The Wunderkind apparatchiks (and to me, this has Rahm Emanuel's -- "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste" -- fingerprints all over it) decided that it would be easier to get gun control laws passed if they could point to mass crimes, murders, and (Heh! Here's an idea!) even drug cartels using guns purchased in the U.S.. But, since that wasn't really happening, what could they do?
Simple. The government would get into the gun running business. They would pay for the guns, arrange for the guns to
be bought illegally, watch the guns being smuggled into Mexico while blocking intervention by law enforcement, and then these political smartest-people-in-the-room types would wait for the murders committed by the narco-terrorists using Fast and Furious guns. Then they could feed this information, complete with grisly crime scene photos, to the media, and follow that with calls to "DO SOMETHING!" about the terrible toll American guns were taking on our neighbors to the south.
This is exactly, and only, what Fast and Furious was -- a program to advance the politics of gun control.
How it was done still robs people of sleep. It represents the most dangerous and the most frightening aspects of zealots in the government for whom the ends always justify the means.
In a nutshell (and this is all well documented) the ATF went to gun stores around the states along the Mexican border and told them these stores would have to sell guns to people who were either prohibited from buying guns or who were clearly making illegal straw sales. These gun stores, of course, objected, saying they couldn't possibly make illegal sales. The store owners were told this was an important law enforcement program. If the stores still refused, they were threatened that their Federal Firearms License would be in jeopardy -- The ATF would put them out of business.
Remember that there was never a plan to trace or track the guns being sold to the drug cartels. The plan was to allow the guns to be used in murders and then use that as political leverage. We are told that when Fast and Furious was originally being created at least one agent objected, saying that these guns would (by design) be used to commit murders and that they probably would be used to murder United States law enforcement officers. The chilling response from one of the bureaucrats reportedly was, "Well, if you want to make an omelet, you have to break some eggs." In other words, the administration was okay with the murder of its own law enforcement officers -- maybe even eagerly anticipating that so it could be used to push the narrative -- in order to advance the gun-control plank in the Democratic Party platform.
A number of ATF agents were aghast, and while they followed the orders to not track the guns, some of them secretly created a web site to blow the whistle on what was going on.
You probably know that hundreds of people have been killed or maimed with the Fast and Furious guns (of which there were thousands sent over the border), and that this includes U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry. His death blew up the program, and the Congressional investigation resulted in U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder being held in contempt of Congress and President Obama invoking "executive privilege" to block the release of information about the gun running scheme.
All this has been covered in a number of books, but there's a story you may not have heard that is, to me, possibly more chilling than all the rest of it.
One of the gun stores (no, I can't tell which one, but you may be able to guess) was approached by the ATF and told to illegally sell guns. The store refused and was threatened by the agents. Throughout the supposedly secret program, this store, on direct orders from the ATF, sold hundreds of guns to people who clearly were smuggling them into Mexico. The store then became a target of the ATF and Justice Department when it was identified to the media as one of the "bad actors," -- stores responsible for illegal gun sales. The media ran stories about this horrible store selling guns to people who were obviously prohibited (leaving out that the store was ordered to do so by the agency responsible for preventing it).
Then it gets really interesting, according to the story I was told. A high-ranking ATF person went to the store and told the owner that the agency was going to press charges, or maybe just revoke the store's license to sell guns. But, the owner said, you guys forced me to do it against my objections. Nope, said the head Fed. We never did that.
"Why don't we go back to my office for a minute," the owner said. Once there, he showed the G-man video recordings of ATF agents forcing the store to sell guns illegally, not to mention videos of the illegal sales.
Mr. "I'm from the government" was, I'm told, completely taken aback when faced with clear evidence of the Mafia-style behavior of his agency.
The gun store owner made it clear that he never wanted to hear another word about shutting down his business unless the agency wanted the videos to be released.
It is my firm belief that Fast and Furious was created to advance the gun-ban agenda of the Obama administration. Those in charge of it created a government-funded program to deliver thousands of guns to murderers with the sole goal of using the resulting crimes as leverage to reduce gun rights. Part of the plan was to guarantee that people were killed, and if that had to be law enforcement officers, "you have to break some eggs." Individuals and companies would be destroyed as an integral part of the plan.
Remember the story. Share this frightening tale of government agencies being used to advance political agendas. Consider that many of the same people are still in power, operating on their own to effect elections or push agendas.
Imagine what the "It's impossible to fire a federal employee" activists inside government will do under a Democratic-party controlled Congress or White House. Actually, there's no need to imagine. We've seen the depths of depravity they sink to.
There's a midterm election coming. As the saying goes, if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. ~ Tom
