New from SureFire; Colt ARs; Libertarian Pro-2A Candidate - This Week on Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk

July 10, 2020

It’s new gear and a return of ARs, the pro-2A stance from the Libertarian Presidential candidate, and more, this week on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk® Radio, the original nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.

This Sunday, Tom Gresham talks to Dr. Jo Jorgensen, the Libertarian candidate for President in the November 2020 election. Jorgensen’s stance on firearms is what most would consider squarely Libertarian – keep the government out of anything you can. Along with calling for the repeal of all red flag laws and abolishing the ATF, Jorgensen has this to say: "Guns are tools that exist in the world. They cannot be willed out of existence, legislated away, constitutionally removed from society, nor pragmatically removed from life as we know it. Progressive policy prescriptions, like assault-weapons bans and bans on large-capacity magazines, are opposed because they’re perceived to have exactly the wrong effect. They’ll present only the most minor of hurdles for the lawless, while the law-abiding experience the law’s full effect. It’s a form of collective punishment for the innocent, a mere annoyance—at best—for the lawless. No amount of rhetoric from either side has any bearing on whether you should be able to have a weapon if you think you need it". Plus,  SureFire’s Andrew Wright is ready to talk weapon lights, hearing protection, and flashlights, and Colt's Justin Baldini with information the Colt ARs hitting the consumer market again!
