POSITION: Video Editor/Camera Operator
Full-time, salaried employee (minimum 40 hours/week)
Gun Talk Media is HIRING! The Video Editor & Camera Operator will be responsible for creating final edits of video projects from original footage using third-party software such as Adobe Premiere for internal and external use, including Marketing, Social, and TV. Apply motion graphics and audio tracks to video edits. Lighting and audio experience a plus. Logging footage, video storage, initial folder taxonomy, and footage back-ups. Ensure the final delivery of video projects to the production manager for final quality assurance and distribution. The Video Editor & Camera Operator will be responsible for editing and filming both internal and external video projects based on an annual video project calendar.
Camera operation will also be required.
The Video Editor & Camera Operator’s first 90 days will include a detailed new hire orientation, initial training plan, and a personalized development plan.

THIS IS A FULL TIME SALARIED POSITION LOCATED IN MANDEVILLE, LOUISIANA.

Job Requirements: Must be able to pass a background check, some travel throughout the year required, knowledge of guns, shooting and hunting a plus
Qualifications Required
Education - Bachelor’s degree or practical field experience, preferably in broadcast production, film, communication or a related field.
Work Experience – 5+ years of field experience with proven ability to edit, and film creative video content. Excellence in developing and executing concepts, from creative beginning to final production. Expertise as a short-form video storytelling with a contemporary and creative editing style.
Computer/Camera Knowledge and Skills – Below is the list of computer programs and software applications that are required for this position:
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
Adobe Premiere
Adobe After Effects
Adobe Audition
Adobe Clip/Mobile editing applications
Knowledge of Operating multiple Camera Platforms
